MaintainM8 legal
Terms of Service
Effective 31 August 2026
Acceptance
By creating an account, using external authentication or continuing to use MaintainM8, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use MaintainM8 for an organisation or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
The service
MaintainM8 is a property-maintenance planning and record-management tool. It can help users organise properties, recurring and one-off tasks, schedules, checklists, assignments, costs, attachments, reminders and completion history. Features available to you may depend on deployment configuration and your assigned role.
Maintenance information is not professional advice
MaintainM8 helps organise information; it does not provide building, electrical, plumbing, gas, engineering, safety or other professional trade advice. Schedules, reminders, checklists and records do not replace inspection, judgement, legal obligations, manufacturer instructions or qualified professional assistance. You remain responsible for deciding what maintenance is appropriate and for engaging suitably qualified people where required.
Accounts and authentication
You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in methods secure and promptly notify the deployment operator of suspected unauthorised use. If you authenticate with Google, Microsoft or Apple, your use of that provider is also governed by its terms. MaintainM8 may suspend or restrict accounts where necessary to protect the service, enforce access decisions or address misuse.
Your content and responsibilities
You retain responsibility for property details, maintenance records, notes, files and other content you enter. You confirm that you have the right to store and share that content with users you authorise. Do not upload unlawful, malicious or infringing material, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, misuse another person's identity or use MaintainM8 in a way that could harm others.
You grant the deployment operator the limited permission needed to host, process, back up where the operator chooses to do so, and display your content solely to operate MaintainM8. These Terms do not promise that backups are provided.
Availability and changes
The service may be changed, interrupted or unavailable from time to time, including for maintenance, security or operational reasons. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. No guaranteed uptime or permanent availability is promised by these Terms.
Intellectual property
MaintainM8 software, branding and supplied content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for rights expressly granted to use the service, no ownership rights are transferred. Your user-entered content remains yours or its owner's.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, MaintainM8 is provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every maintenance need. The deployment operator is not responsible for decisions, work, damage or loss caused by relying on MaintainM8 as a substitute for professional advice. Liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law; rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
Ending use
You may stop using MaintainM8 at any time. Account suspension, termination and data handling are administered by the deployment operator; the current product does not provide a self-service account-deletion workflow. Contact the operator using the details supplied for your deployment for account or data requests.
Changes and contact
These Terms may be updated as the service or deployment changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions should be directed to the operator using the support or contact details supplied for your MaintainM8 deployment; this application does not publish a universal operator email address.
